ASI likes to emphasize the importance of forward efficiency ( lighting fixture efficiency ) in down light applications. When a lens is put inside a light bulb, only the light coming out of front side is visible. Light comes out of the side will be absorbed by the lighting fixutre. ASI publishes forwrad efficieny in our MVP series to emphasize our superior " real world " performance. Most of MVP lenses deliver > 90% forward efficiency in narrow and wide angle.
